1. Energy Saving of 50%-90%
As
the electrodeless induction lamp generates light via electromagnetic induction
with the help of electronic ballast and microchip IC control, they offer beneficial
features such as high luminous efficacy and high power factor, ect.
2. Extreme long life
Electrodeless
induction lamps have a useful working life of up to 100,000 hours because they
do not have electrodes of filaments that easily burn out or get damaged. The
long life of induction lamps is 100 times than that of an ordinary tungsten
filament lamp.
3. Instant-Start capability
Unlike
other HID lighting technologies, induction lamps can have the instant-start and
hot-start capabilities; they can be turned on within milliseconds.
4. Glare and flicker-free lighting
The
human eye will be able to see light flicker when the working frequency is below
40KHz. Induction lamps have a working frequency of 210KHz so on visible flicker
will be detected, and thereby not cause any strains to the eyes.
5. Superior lights
Light
generated by induction lamps is similar to fluorescent light with a broad color
spectrum.
6. Good color reproduction
As
well as providing a bright environment, a good lighting system should also
provide a vibrant and vivid-looking environment. Induction lamp’s high color
rendering index (CRI>80Ra) will allow users to see the true object in its
full glory.
7. Minimal electromagnetic interference
Low-frequency
induction lamps operate at a low frequency of 300KHz, and are fitted with
specially designed metallic structural shielding and anti-interference
electronic circuitry. Hence their EMC and EMI characteristics all comply to
recognized international standards.
8. Low operating costs
Induction
lamps generate little heat in comparison to other lighting technologies, so it
will not raise the room temperature much and thereby lowering the
air-conditioning workload and its associated costs.
Induction
lamp has extremely long life that will greatly lower the overall cost of maintenance
(including replacement material and labor costs).
Induction
lamp’s high luminous efficacy means that less electricity is required to
generate the same light levels when compared to other lighting technologies,
and thereby reducing the electricity running cost.
9. Environmentally friendly
Induction
lamps are made with amalgam so it can be recycled. In contrast, traditional
lighting technologies use liquid mercury as one of its raw materials, which is
difficult to recycle and can easily pollute the environment. Also the longevity
of induction lamps will result in less solid waste in comparison to other
lighting technologies.
